Honestly, no. I don't think that gay people should be able to adopt/have children. I believe that it is supposed to be with a man and a woman. That is how God wants it. A family should be started with a mom and dad...that is what I think.

I'd like to know why they can't. If they are evaluated like any heterosexual couple and determined capable of raising a child, then why can't they adopt? Heterosexual couples are allowed to procreate without being evaluated on parenting skills...
men can barely take care of kids when the mother is THERE, how are two men supposed to handle a kid? plus the kid would be ridiculed, especially if it were a boy, because it had two dads

So, logically single dads should never be able to raise kids. They should be taken away by the state immediately. They are unfit.
personally no, not for religious reasons but for natural reasons as a kid should be brought with both male and female parents, if they are brought up by two people of the same sex then they are missing out on being tought things that can only be taught from the other sex.
It depends really. If the gay couple teach their kids their life style then I would say no. In fact I would most likly vote no, because I perfer the tranditional man and woman adopting the child.
I'm Christian, but even then, I think its alright for those kinds of couples to adopt. I don't see why they can't. When one person loves another, well, that's normal! Oh, and if you think being that way is a disease or a mental illness, what made you believe that? These kinds of couples are perfectly normal, they just have a different interest in gender, nothing wrong with that.
On one hand I personally think it's unfair to the child, on the other, not allowing gays to adopt is unfair to them. I don't think so, but it's hard to justify either way.
I wonder how many people here are aware that studies pretty much agree that children of gay parents turn out the same as with hetero parents. . . . screwed up, lazy and stupid.

Its not the dudes I would be concerned about, its the kid. "HEY DAD!!" "Yes?" "Yes?" thats not cool for a kid.
I say no. My mom has worked with many children that have had to endure years of being made fun of in school and effects them psychologically. While I wish those children that do make fun could be taught some sense, no child deserves the ridicule.
If a topic as controversial as this is made the topic creator has a much larger responsibility to generate conversation. Start off with your own opinion and the reasons behind it. Yes or No will not suffice. Thanks.
