If you don't like workingm then quit and focus on your education. Join some club or sports or something. But don't get too used to it, you're going to have to work some day.

Learn to prepare food with a buddy while on the slow periods. When one person comes in and orders one burger, ask to make it. Don't ask to learn during meal rushes. My first month at this job I was kind of slow, I remember my first actual shift ever I wasn't able to get into the swing of opening bags while doing change and getting the receipt and scanning and all of that. It took a few shifts, but now I'm quick at it. Bag while debit/credit customers are paying, open a new bag for the next customer when done. You just have to get into the swing of it. I stopped today and I was like "What the hell buttons do I push to sign into my till" and I realized I don't know, but I walked into work today and just did it. I know what buttons I have to push, but I don't consciously think about it anymore. The same will happen for you with making food. When nobody is at my till, usually during the latter hours of a night shift, I sweep, straighten displays near my till, open boxes, put out candy, wipe down the till, dust, clean up around the ATM etc. You just find stuff to do. At first I thought I wasn't allowed to step out of my till until break time, but that isn't true. You'll get it. Hang in there.

If you don't like your job, then get a new one. Why work in a place you hate?

I think you should stay. Unless the co-workers team up to continuously stick ice cream in your pants, I don't see a reason to quit. I didn't really talk to many people when I first started working and near the end of me working there I joined in conversations from time to time. Most people don't like their jobs but they most likely stay because either it took them a long time and quitting jobs constantly because you don't really like it doesn't really look good. Besides, I might want a discount of ice cream. :P

Sounds pretty easy, I mean would you rather work somewhere thats always packed with wall to wall customers? think of it this way it may not be fun but you're learning skills for work that might come in handy later in life.

Just try and be friendly with the coworkers, try and find something you guys have in common or something

I mean I work at Rite-Aid, its not the funnest job in the world either lol :P

As someone who worked at Baskin Robins, I feel your pain at working at one of these icecream places. It's a living hell.

It is not as bad as working at Disney World.

Why dont you learn how and practice in making food? What is the harm in using up 30 minutes of the time you just stand there in improving your work experience.

I would imagine that would suck. You should try working at a Lowe's, Target, etc. stocking shelves and unloading trucks. Always have something to do and no awkward silence.

Just be thankful that you get paid doing nothing all day. Unless you have another job line up after you quit, then you shouldn't quit.

If you decide to quit, make sure you line something else up before you do.

Depends if you can find another job. If you can't, tough it out. If you can, quit.

I'd quit man. No matter how much money you make, if you don't like the work you're doing then don't do it.
