Listen to early rap, what you said is just BS. A lot of rap songs are negative, yeah, but not all of it.

Look at the next post I made. I was being sarcastic. I'm a huge fan of hip-hop/rap music and old school hip-hop is one of my personal favorite aspects of the genre.
