Should the media not report on Rev. Terry Jones (Qu'ran burner)?

I mean needless to say he isn't the one who promoted himself originally, and with the fact that this is pretty much a steel shed. The American media reporting this (and Islamic countries picking the story up) has set off terrorism alarms against Americans, and caused Islamic-worldwide Anti-American feelings. With the fact that despite what he's doing is despicable it is also not physically harming anyone nor is it a real debate on if this should be done or not, should this event have been ignored by the media?

He's just one of many crack-pots better left ignored yes.

this Mosque thing is bringing a lot of trouble.

The more I read about this guy, the more he seems like some backwater klan type character. Every country has their wackos, but the US seems to be the only one that puts them on the front page.

As far as I'm concerned religion is exactly like Football.

in the eyes of the average fan there's our team and their team.

It seems to me that people are either extremely anti-muslim or or extremely sensitive to criticism of the same.

The guy is going to do what he wants. The media knows that their coverage will hurt Americans abroad, so they should simply ignore him.
