I think it's nonsense. Homosexuality I understand, it's whatever I guess. But when it comes to gender there's no arguing it. Male or female, period. XX or XY chromosomes. I don't see how u can argue against that. Whatcha think?

What you defined above is sex, not gender. Sex is XX or XY, and that's about it (there are some folks born with XXY I think, but that's rare).

Gender is a social construct and, as we have all learned, can be basically anything you want it to be.

@thegerg: Well when I say creation of a third gender I don't mean that we just make one up, I mean that scientists, biologists, or whatever find compelling evidence and/or reasons that a third gender could exist to classify it as such.

@vfighter: in what respect? Maybe in the past "sex" has been synonymous with "gender", but not any more. Times are changing.
