If by water just drinking some water, I see no problem, dipping head in water obviously would be worse because that's basically drowning.

well dad had lung cancer and he never treated it, last 15 days he did not eat or drink a thing, because he could not, there was a lung hole, he doubted it to biopsy which he never wanted to do and was forced to do by doctor and relatives. he died infront of me, having breathing trouble, he spit water twice, i still feed him another water drop, only a little big ofcourse, as he was unable to drink water more then a half a spoon, even that would be out spit by cough eventually. i am very scared and in self doubt, which will be with me for my life.

This probably isn't the best place to discuss this.

Aw man I'm so sorry to hear that but even if the water exacerbated things, remember that it wasn't you who killed him, it was the lung cancer.

Why would he not want treatment? Could he not afford it or did he not want it? Edit: Sorry to hear about your dad. :( That's not easy, even harder when they die right infront of you :(

Sips of water an/or bits of crushed ice is the general protocol. Sorry to hear about your father.

sorry for posting about this, well he insisted for herbal medicines and even then he was not happy with the medication as the medication was not prepared as instructed. he even had troubles like inflammation and stuff so he avoided even herbal medicines. YES ITS BEEN ONLY TWO DAYS, ITS SOMETHING I WON'T EVER FORGET, A HORRIBLE SIGHT, I LITERALLY SAVED DAD TWICE BY MANIPULATING OXYGEN SPEED EARLIER TOO, BUT IN THAT DAY HE INSISTED NOT TO TAKE OXYGEN. THE THING WAS I ALSO GAVED HIM SOME HONEY BALLS WHICH HE WAS SUPPOSED TO CHEW AND NOT EAT, HE EATED IT AND EVEN THAT CAME OUT, GOD KNOWS, BUT IF I SOMEHOW DID THIS, THAN MY FATE IS CRUELEST.
