While I seen no point for a white history month, I don't see a point for Black History month either. How can they expect people to stop seeing races as different if they keep treating them differently?

I think people get too enraged over Black History Month. Not that I particularly care for it, (the whole ordealis a pointless symbolic gesture at the most) but I can't say that it in any way has affected my life other than hearing that it is Black History Month. The whole reaction to it seems to be indicative of a widespread persecution complex.

Just to clear something up I dont see color and the only reason I hate BHM is the people (in current times) like Jesse and Al.

Instead of them **** maybe they should do more then they have to promote History in schools.

Also I thinnk every culture in America should start protesting the books of history they are teaching..I'm talking about students making their voices heard.

DO a walk out and hold out no matter what they threaten you with untill they give in and teach true history and not suger coat it for one chapter

I think that if you hate BHM that then you are probably giving it too much credence. It's not particularly significant, in my opinion.

Agreed. I find it funny that many people here are angry about there not being "black" history in our textbooks and yet there is FAR less "chinese" history. In fact, I think I only covered it in depth in a geography class in college. Then again, these people want to feel like they are the only ones being wronged. It's quite comical.

To be fair, it's extremely hard for anyone to find employment these days, no matter their race or education (which is sad). One could also make the argument that it's harder in general for blacks to get employed because of low SES and the stuff that goes along with that. Perhaps a white person with low SES has the same chance to get a job as a black person with low SES. I'm just playing devils advocate though.

Your posts seemed to trend toward racism against white people. However, upon further review, I was completely wrong and for that I apologize. Instead, you are just dismissive of troubles that white people have to deal with in todays society (not saying they have it better or worse than any other racial group).
