How on Earth do you write a two page essay on the Pythagorean Theorem? I wasn't aware there was that much to say about it.

I'm not sure if I can just copy it word for word because I have no idea how to condense it and meet 2 pages.:(

Just explain it, and maybe talk about some of the real life applications of it. You know, like what kind of job would use it, and how they use it.

It's pretty simple. On any triangle with a right angle in it, there will always be one side whose length is longer than the other two sides. That's called the hypotenuse. The Pythagorean Theorem says that the square of the length of the hypotenuse is equal to the other two side lengths squared and added together. Its most commonly known form is a^2 + b^2 = c^2, where c is the length of the hypotenuse and a and b are the lengths of the other two sides.

For example, if the two side lengths are 3 inches and 4 inches, you get 3^2 + 4^2 = 25. Then you take the square root of 25 to find that the length of the hypotenuse is 5 inches.

Lets see...I got a speech essay to do (On video games, so it shouldn't be that hard)...and a 5-page essay for my English class that I am about half-way done with.

I am the king of procrastination.

I have an English project on Hercules due Wed. and a U.S. History test the same day, and I haven't started anything for either of them.

I do have some excuses though.

The English project is a storyboard project that needs at least eight panels on giant paper, but he hasn't given us the giant paper yet so I can't really do it.

Oh, and I just don't care about History. I got a 78% on the first test and my grade is still an A...he gives so much extra credit and participation points the tests literally don't matter.

I should, however, be memorizing my lines for the school musical that is in two weeks. I have only about one scene memorized:?
