Everytime a show gets cancelled there is always a legion of fans try some crazy voodoo crap to keep the show on air for longer. It seems like everyone is always pissed off by the cancellation of a show. How about you? Are there any shows that got cancelled and you didnt feel bad, infact you felt good about?

Let me clarify something before you answer:

- "Cancelled" is used to mean when a show either gets cancelled without a conclusion, or is ended with a solid conclusion like ER. This is to remove any confusion. So when a show is no longer on air, its considered cancelled.

- "Glad" doesnt mean that you hated the show, although it certainly can mean that too. "Glad" could also mean that you enjoyed the show, but you felt it was time it ended, or you felt that it had really gotten bad.

Anyways, on to some of my choices:

X-Files: I loved this show, but after Mulder left, it had seriously gone downhill. I'm glad the cancelled it before it became "That show". You know, the one everyone used to like but now is utter crap and no one will admit to ever being a fan.

The Pretender: This show started out great. Simple and great. As the show progressed it got so convoluted in its own mythology that it became completely ridiculous. I couldn't watch a single episode without rolling my eyes towards the end. The cliffhanger ending was bad, but the show seriously needed to end.

Kyle XY: Stellar first season, bad second season and an even worse third. I was elated when this show got cancelled. It had gotten so bad that it was almost painful to watch. This is one are where im with the network (Good decision ABC Family!).

Bionic Woman: This show was painful to watch. Its not that the acting was bad or anything, its just that the writers were terrible. This show had absolutely no story and was seriously going no where. I'm glad they cancelled it. Don't want a great actress like Katee Sackhoff getting dragged down by a show like Bionic woman. Hopefully now that BSG is over (So sad, one of the best shows ever!) I hope she gets her own show where she is the star. Hotness like that can not be left to fade away.

There are probably others I cant remember right now, and there are a few others which I hated but am not going to comment on because I only saw an episode before I stopped caring. So what are your choices?

That 70's show,my favorite show of all time, and while the last season was not bad,it just proved it was time to move on and they did the right thing and ended it.

Mind of Mencia....if indeed it is actually cancelled. I really can't stand that guy. (Yes, I know that isn't even his real name.)

The X-Files went downhill quite a while before Mulder left. That was just the straw that broke the camel's back.

I could name more shows that I wish didn't end. As far as shows I'm glad are gone... I've never watched a show that I was glad when it went off the air.

True that. It was getting pretty dodgey. You know what really annoyed me? the conclusion to Mulder's search for his sister. Wow...that episode was such a let down imo. Its like the entire show was building up to Mulder finding his sister and then they screwed it up...HARD.

Oh man. I loved the Pretender. I still love The Pretender, and there is some charm in its inherent silliness. But once you get past the first few episodes of the fourth season, everything goes bizarre, and the final episode is a total slap in the face. Latent psychic ability? Okay, genetic manipulation I can deal with, but when the show delves into the supernatural you know something's gone wrong. I'm glad Dark Angel got canceled. It was a stupid show, but there was something watchable about it (maybe it's just Jessica Alba's body). But the second season went insane and things turned all low-budget X-Men.

Yup, that psychic trash really annoyed me. You see, I was all for the cloning and stuff. Even though I hated this whole Mrs.Parker biz where she was looking for her mom, I let it slide. But the moment that Psychic trash started appearing...thats when I knew the show as gone. That show was seriously going in circles. Infact it reminds me of Lost (up to season 2 because thats where I gave up). So much happens yet nothing really happens. Now, like I said, I haven't watched the other Lost episodes, but up to the end of season 2, you will realize that nothing had actually progressed in the story. Mysteries were brought up, but nothing happened.

The third season of Lost does start advancing the story a bit more, although it's similar to the Pretender in that for every question they answer, a more ridiculous question is raised. I haven't seen the two Pretender movies, but those (apparently) do the same thing, answering some things about the show while making everything else crazier.

He was not meant to replace eric. It was just to fill out the cast and other than donna dating him he was never the focus. they branched out more to red and hyde and bob and jackie, and other secondary characters. It was not a bad season but it showed that without the center(eric) it got too unfocused. But it kind of worked, because that is real life, your not a teenager in a basement forever, people grow up and move on.
