Hey,

So, there's this girl that I really like (yeah, yeah, yeah--a girl thread), but the thing is I only see her at lunch. We're strangers--I only talked to her twice and that was last school year.

I just want to know: How do you think I should talk to her? I just don't know how to initiate a conversation with her because if I start talking to her out of the blue, wouldn't that be weird? So I need an "opening," or a reason to talk to her.

I don't know, I just need advice on what to say, how to start the conversation, etc.

I have some ideas, I just want some of yours.

you know whats weird that happened this year, hot girls actually talked to me without me initiating anything, they werent interested or anything but i wa ssuprised usually i have to start the cionversations.

I have one that might do it...either way, I'd like to hear this. :P

Don't start with a line that makes it obvious you wanna get into her eg "Hi how are you?" etc - make it something completely off the cuff - "Did you see that fight just before?" "Did you hear about what our grade has to get done by Friday?" etc.

Then just let a conversation grow, by being yourself, letting the talk go whever it will, all the while being yourself and being confident.

IF you can hold her attention for at least 10 minutes, and not of sporadic small talk, but actual conversation, you're on fire. Look for things like mirroring, playing with her hair, genuine smiles/laughter, and reciprocated discussion.

From there, establish common gorund and try to work something around that - eg "You like the local basketball team? We should check them out sometime"

i would actually like that game of course i would probably want to kill myself when we got to the dating part and had to talk on the phone for three or more ******* hours part but i would love the hunt

If you want a random reason to talk to her... just throw something at her/her friends. Then when you go pick it up be like "oh I'm sorry that was an accident... or was it" then do the coolest smile you can think of. Works everytime.8)

You can make it awkward, sure, but the initial act isn't weird... Especially if you've talked to her before.

just say:

"i'm a man, your a woman, end of story"

Just initiate conversation. Be casual and confident and you should be fine.

Here's an example. Say she's sitting alone. Walk up and ask if you can sit with her. Say you noticed she was alone and politely ask if she would mind some company. Shoot the breeze with her and you should be fine.

Or, I have even done this. Sometimes the most awkward and off the wall approaches win them over. I met a girl by being over the top silly. If you can make her laugh and smile, you've won half the battle.
