[QUOTE="Jandurin"][QUOTE="Charazani"]No one cares.achilles614i know but just in case someone is playing ff9 i thought they should knowWhat's funny is I'm currently playing ff9 and that trick would've been very useful an hour or two ago in game. Also it was irking me what all those "new text doc" were. PS. for the love of god please rename the witcher 2 shortcut to "WITCHER 2" The start witcher 2 just makes me cry for some reason. Don't encourage him.
I guess you could call mine minimalist. I have 6 icons (2 of which are quick launch taskbars), the Windows Sidebar and ASUS Probe showing my temps and fan speeds.
I have a few things on the Windows desktop because they were there when I first started using them I think.
On Mac I just have the hard drive and then the dock thing.
So I guess simplistic. Don't usually or ever use the minimalistic desktops with just a solid colour and a small picture, but some of those pictures are nice.
edit:
picture of the Windows desktop from a few days ago, and one of the Mac from a while before that:

If I'm working on something I'll put it on the desktop.
I prefer it clean. I have rocketdock installed but I hardly ever use it. I can just press the start button and then type in a few letters of what I am looking ofr and it is just as fast.judog1
I love rocketdock, big icons so is easy to click and store more shortcuts. Pretty much a big eff you to macs and their simplicity b.c you can have it for your pc too.
I like having stuff on the desktop. If it's totally barren it seems like a waste.
People who wallpaper their desktop with icons are insane though.
I like the clean look but sometimes if you need to "point" something to something else its so much easier to drop it on the desktop :P. I hate having to click click click click go back click click click and then save the file in the right folder. It takes tooooooooo long ;)
Clean. Anything I don't use on a regular basis gets stuck in the "bullsh!t" folder.

This one is me. I brought my laptop into school one day to work on something and we had a good laugh on this matter.
The only thing on my Desktop is my recycle bin and Turbo Booster Widget. I keep all the icons for my most comonly used programs on the task bar.

Clean with an empty desktop (besides the recycle bin).
