true, but first impressions count and it takes me some time for a girl to like me. Only girlfriends I have had have been lab partners (during school)or people I work with
and, this is going to sound bad, but do I really want a girl that would settle for a fatass? This mostly settles from my own insecurity btw, not necessarily because of the type of girl. Im not lusting for supermodels or anything, but I am still shocked at a few of the girls Ive gone out with as I always thought they could have done a lot better lol

Touche -I am just opposite though, girls love me at first...then not so much
Single but taking my time and waiting for the right one... The last few dates i had would have been a terrible mistake if i had gone out with them. One was a completely different culture (japanese) and one was what people would call "an airhead". And I have the bad luck of always being majorly interested in girls that are already taken :(

You are being way too hard on yourself. Sure appearance does count, but that is only at the initial stage and after say a month or two, the personality and character of the person will shine through and are the fuels that propel the relationship.
Not to say everyone should completely disregard their appearance... just that it is not the most important ingredient for a healthy relationship. I actually would even consider you lucky. In your own words those girls agreed to go out with you despite your appearance... I think that says quite a bit about you as a person.
Single, mostly because I'm really shy around people I'm not very familiar with (vicious cycle), so its hard for me to strike up conversations with people, especially women.
