I'd be a hero!CRS98WHat does CRS stands for? My initials. Why is this the second time you bring it up? I though it was something else and you were related to that thing.

[QUOTE="Communist_Soul"][QUOTE="GazaAli"]Why is it? Seriously why do we think of this particular scenario?GazaAli
We all want to be a hero.
but I mean why this particular scenario? Why can't we save people from a storm, or a volcano or even a car accident? We would be in front of peers who we want to thank us for our actions, we will be know since school shootings tend to be up there in news, plus I don't there has ever been someone who actually confronted the shooters and won be a first.
I honestly thought about this all of the time. In high school, every different room I would go in for my classes, I would search the area for ideal spots the class could hide and I could get an optimal position to strike the gunman from a hidden spot when he/she entered the room.
I think it could have worked too if it ever happened.
just don't talk to them..ever!I've actually thought about this as well, especially saving the hot girls sitting next to me.

C'mon, I know I'm not the only one. I know I'm the most pathetic person here (I get laid almost all the time). :P So let's hear it. You think about this during class, don't you?Brodomski

That's not true. I want to be a villain.[QUOTE="GazaAli"]Why is it? Seriously why do we think of this particular scenario?Communist_Soul
We all want to be a hero.
Or we all desire to know if we had the courage to be a hero. It's like that one scene on Saving Private Ryan where the dude with the ammo is too scared to come out and help his friends as they are being brutally killed because they have no ammo. Nobody really knows if they have balls to be a hero, which is think is why people think about these scenariosC'mon, I know I'm not the only one. This is EXACTLY what I think about too....not only in class, but on public busses, trains....malls too lol
Yup, in 8th grade, cause we had this random dude that got into our building but like the security guards like tackeld him down.
wow I thought I was the only one. I even thought about what I would say to the news people, and how security footage would be uploaded on youtube of my heroism.BluskiLol, i didn't see your post before posting mine. This thread keeps getting better and better with every post... :D I always imagined myself overpowering several gunmen with some martial arts moves, like Bourne or Bond, in front of every hot girl there is...
there's really not much in a school environment that can beat a gun in a fight. i think i would just be trying to take cover and get away from the gunman.
It's easy to think about what you will do in your head, say it over and over again about how that's what you're going to do, and do something entirely different when it happens in real life. I always thought about how I would tackle a gunman if he is within tackling distance if they tried to rob me but when I got robbed in real life all I could do is stand there and give them my money.
The heat of the moment can change what you'll actually do versus what you claim to do. It's no different than half the guys here who claim that if somebody like Scarlett Johannson came to them and offered them some free pudding they would laugh at her and tell her no because of their hot girlfriend but if it really happened they would undress faster than if their clothes were soaked in propane and she had a match in her hand.
I'd break a window and jump out of it. My classes are mostly on the first floor, so I wouldn't break any vital organs.
Yeah, well, it happens. Can I admit that I am in the college and that still, kinda, comes to my mind. All the time. Almost. But hey, man got to be precocious. That is precocious not pathetic, right? Right?
Arn't you the guy making all these threads about deformed children? No offense but your threads are weird including this one.
I don't think about this inclass nor anywhere actually. It doesn't cross my mind. I think they should have police on campus with guns. The only thing that criminals fear are guns, if other people in the building had guns the gunman wouldn't even try. They arn't in power anymore and people can fight back.
