Yes, but can they bench enough and beat people up?spazzx625
Sure why not, I was a former skinny dude, before I benched and beat people up.

Yeah but not through fat. I used to be skinny before I got buff.
Same with me. I have a fast metabolism, I can't gain that much fat at all.
I didn't really get to the point where I could live comfortably (not eating so much it made me sick) and gain weight until recently, when I stopped growing.
A year ago I was 6'4" and 145lbs. Now, after working out 3-4x a week and eating 1000 calorie pot pies before bed and other henouis atrocities against my digestive tract, I am 170lbs. Pretty much all muscle gain.
Kinda funny.
I use to weigh around 265 a year or so ago and now I weigh around 125 and can't gain anything.
People actually thought they were making it up? Watching a skinny guy eat three times as much food as me in a day and not gain any weight was proof enough for me.
It's true, 4 years ago i was only 54kg and 194cm long, i had to eat 4000-5000 calories a day to gain weight.
And this was recommended from a deitist, i even got supplements to put in my food. Since it was almost impossible for me to eat that much in just food.
Eat more than you normally would, Protein rich food before and after training.. wait 2 years BAAAM!! Your biff :)

Nothing more frustrating for someone like me who is trying to LOSE weight than to see stuff like that...
I have seen a skinny friend of mine eat like a Double, 2 Spicy chicken sandwiches, and a large fry in one sitting at Wendy's and he ate meals like that REGULARLY while remaining a toothpick...
I fall into that category. I'm 5'8" and weigh 135 pounds. I can eat as much food as I want without ever gaining a pound. I would imagine that people like me need to consume an impractical number of calories per day to gain weight. Probably 10,000 calories per day, consistently.

If you're being serious about gaining weight work up to adding a gallon of milk a day to your diet, count your calories , make sure that your actually going over your maintence for that day and a program like starting strength or 5,3,1 will work wonders
I could gain weight if I maintained a diet of 2500 calories, I'm sure. But the thing is, I can get by on about 1500. I don't see the point in eating for the sake of it.I fall into that category. interesting documentary (watched the whole thing)
what i found most interesting was the asian dude, who gained mostly muscle mass without even excercising.
Let me guess
They eat like pigs and turn out to be skinny fat, a term used for skinny people who develop soft bits around their body. I'm sort of the same way, it's tough for me to gain weight but it's not impossible.
Eat 500 over your daily calorie maintenance, lift weights and you'll gain weight, maybe not as fast as some other people but you will. Even if you didn't lift any weights you'll still gain weight regardless as long as you're overeating but where the weight is distributed across your body depends on other factors.
It's pretty much genetic, skinny people can indeed get fat.

whole milk yummies! i drink that stuff like it was laced with crackSounds like me, only I weigh slightly less. I wish I could gain weight. I have been working out and stuff, but doesn't seem to help. just gym and keep eating will get you fatterYes, but can they bench enough and beat people up?spazzx625hell I dont know...I heard some rumor about some guy in ot...he can apparently bench 195 and then he goes to his school and faces armed teachers and beast them
I haven't exercised for maybe the last 10 years and I don;t eat healthy at all, yet I've always been thin. No doubt I have the insides of a 300lb guy, but on the outside you can't see it. This is misleading as people assume I'm thin or don't eat, and also it makes me appear more healthy than I actually am.
Today, I ate six chicken breast sandwiches and a bowl of cereal. After I'm done with this post, I'll have some more cereal.

youre 16 i doubt youre "buff" a person can certainly be "buff" at 16 years old...however its obviously not tc's case, I predict that tc is just a 10 years old kid who just got internet in his house and wants to show to the world how awesome he is and telling all the adventures he has as a 195 bench presser who assist to a maniac schoolThat's probably a good explanation for why I'm only 5'7" 120 pounds despite being a pretty heavy eater. Goddamn it you stupid body, put those goddamn nutrients to good use! :x
I don't think it's possible for me to gain weight. I eat a ridiculous amount of food but my weight hasn't gone up in years. Hell, sometimes I just keep eating to see how much I can consume.
It's fine with me, I like being thin.

120 pounds? Even I consider that to be small, no offense. I'm 5'8" and weigh 135 pounds.

How did you manage that??
I used to weight 280 back in highschool and I'm now on 190 and I can't seem to lose more :P

That's funny. I am 5'7" and 135 LBS... I never hardly gain any all my life. if I gained say 5 LBS, I will lose it back again in weeks.I'm 6'3", don't work out, but over the past five years have fluctuated from 180 to 220 LB varying on the time of year and how badly I am eating. More of a curse than a blessing IMO.

Skinny people can actually gain weight. I've been around 17.5 BMI (5'11", 125lb) for like 4 years. When I visited Japan for 4 weeks, I always had a 5 plate breakfast and would eat out. I don't believe there was a day when I didn't eat out. By the time I returned to America, I gained about 7-10lb bringing my total BMI to around 18.7. But in the few days after returning I lost about most of that weight, so it's hard to 'maintain' the weight.[QUOTE="supergoat777"][QUOTE="Necrifer"]

Yeah, I don't know where all that mass is going. Hell, the next two lightest guys in my class are 121 pounds, and one's shorter (with the same build) while another's thinner (with the same height). Granted, I don't want to become fat (I like my lean look) but I don't know why my body doesn't seem to want to use ANY of this food to grow.
I am amongst those skinny people. No matter what I eat and how much I don't get fat. I am a skinny rail.
