My god a supergoat thread thats actually partly good

On topic btw i used to be a real skinny fella before i started Muay Thai in highschool and had motivation to workout and gain some serious weight,

I'm almost a pure Ectomorph and my body stats are

Height: 6'1''
Weight: 215 pounds
Bench Press (just for Supergoat): 290 Max
Body fat % : 8%

If you saw me you'd think i'd weigh alot more than i look but thats because i have a low body fat and i'm very muscularley toned,

Also being an Ectomorph isnt easy on the food bill, i have to eat a crap load each day just to keep my current weight.

That's probably a good explanation for why I'm only 5'7" 120 pounds despite being a pretty heavy eater. Goddamn it you stupid body, put those goddamn nutrients to good use! :x

120 pounds? Even I consider that to be small, no offense. I'm 5'8" and weigh 135 pounds.

Yeah, I don't know where all that mass is going. Hell, the next two lightest guys in my class are 121 pounds, and one's shorter (with the same build) while another's thinner (with the same height). Granted, I don't want to become fat (I like my lean look) but I don't know why my body doesn't seem to want to use ANY of this food to grow.

Listen you gotta do some research and get a workout routine going and make sure you eat atleast 100 grams of Protein daily plus 500 more calories than what you weight would warrant, Go on the net do some research about how much calories you'll need a day for you body weight then always eat 500 more and make sure you get in atleast 1 gram of protein for each pound you weigh and make sure you workout and have all your meals planned. It sounds like alot but it's truely worth it in the end, Oh and PS make sure you do alot of Sqauts as these workouts willo benefit your whole body with the muscle building hormones they release.

Son of a b**** man....I get jealous of these people....I'm trying to lose my belly. In october I was 171lbs, Now I am 149lbs, but I still have a god damn belly....and its really stressful for me to worry about what I eat. It hinders the fun I have at parties and such....hopefully I can slim down a bit more by summer...

A year ago I was 6'4" and 145lbs. Now, after working out 3-4x a week and eating 1000 calorie pot pies before bed and other henouis atrocities against my digestive tract, I am 170lbs. Pretty much all muscle gain.

I couldn't gain weight if I tried. I'm 56kgs. I think I lived off KFC and McDonalds for about 2 weeks in the school holidays and gained barely anything.

My boyfriend is exactly the same. He's 62kgs and 6'2. He eats a pizza and a half to himself and gains nothing. He could probably bulk up if he tried hard enough though.

I have done it myself, skinny people can gain weight.
I used to be so skinny people kept telling me to eat more, and not just my family.
Way for skinny people to gain weight:
Get a physical job and do sports.
Then after a few years quit both.

Done.

Though, I do have to say I've started working out since 6 weeks ago and my tummy size has decreased by about 1,5 inch already. So it seems that it's not as hard for me as some others to go back to being skinny.

I'm one of them, I constantly eat junk food and I have never once thought about if something was unhealthy or fattening. I'm 172cm and 65kg or so. (Screw the imperial unit system)

I can't get regular access to a gym or weightlifting equipment (also, being a student in final exams year, there's not much time to dedicate to exercises like that), so this is a no go. Also, I'm not sure exactly how to keep track of the calorific content of my food, but I'm very very sure that it's already above what I "need".

I fall into that category. I'm 5'8" and weigh 135 pounds. I can eat as much food as I want without ever gaining a pound. I would imagine that people like me need to consume an impractical number of calories per day to gain weight. Probably 10,000 calories per day, consistently.

take off 20 pounds and this post describes me:P

Kinda funny.

I use to weigh around 265 a year or so ago and now I weigh around 125 and can't gain anything.

Darthkaiser

How did you manage that??

I used to weight 280 back in highschool and I'm now on 190 and I can't seem to lose more :P

That sounds like a worm is in his system...

Well, I was really depressed at one point in my life, and when I'm depressed I barely eat anything at all.

So that basically caused me to lose a lot of weight, I also exercised and stuff too every now and then.

I have trouble gaining it. At age 6 and 79 pounds, the doctors are recommending that I gain weight.judog1
:? At age 6, I was at around 45 pounds and was never recommended to gain pounds. I actually reached around 79 pounds when I was about 10 years old...

10,000 won't even do it for some people. They did an experiment WAY back and told some prisoners that they would get a reduced sentence if they gained something like 30% of their body weight eating 10,000 calories a day, and some of them could not do it even eating that much.

I weight 179 lbs last year before summer. Then summer came and with it, came a part-time course load that kept me perpetually stressed, more working hours and really small meals (because I can't cook really well and usually rely on the school cafeteria), I dropped to around 155. But when regular school resumed in September, I worked less, ate more and took measures to cut down on stress levels. Now I am back to my normal weight (176 lbs), and I am happy :) Different people have different bodies that react to external or internal changes.
