I live in a fair sized city, about 150,000 people but it still very quite and there's plenty to do. So im going to go with the inbetween option.

I have never lived in a big city. But I want to. A small ton has its benefits, but so does a large city. Maybe I will go make my living at a big city, then regress to a small town... idk yet.

Big city, though i'ld like to be in one of the out of the way areas not right in the centre, close enough to walk to the centre but not close enough to have all the noise and such. I love just being able to go into the city on my free afternoon even if i'm bnot planning on buying or doing anything and even if i'm by myself, it's just a great place to be. Small towns are nice with the space and such but i much prefer city parks, with traffic all around, just a small peaceful haven in the middle of everything.

I feel that more with a small town as you know more of the people and such so it's like you're trapped with all the same people. In a big city you don't know most of the people so i see them as things simpley not to walk into, thier daily bussiness dosn't concern me in the slightest so i put no thought to them.

Depends what city, if its somewhere like Beijing i'd say :| nofanks, a big city like New York - Manhattan then yeees plz.

Small places can be pretty good too, best place i've been possibly is Hvar in Croatia, by Croatian standards its big but to me its tiiiny tiny and it had some of the best food i've ever tasted and an unrivaled night-life.

[QUOTE="Dunkonya"]I have always wanted to live in a small town. It seems more peacefull.Tjeremiah1988

boring. I want to hear taxi drivers cursing people out for cutting them off, police sirens every 4 minutes, chatter, cars driving by, the smell of the city air, and well everything that makes the city interesting :P

strangely all that noise tends to make me sleep better, weird

i live in a big city and they have the worst of everything. the worst people all mashed up together in a rat race to be better than one another, no culture except for the clashing of all kinds of immigrants, its awful.

im looking forward to the day i move back out to the country.

Well, I live in Northeast Philadelphia (almost out of the city), which has a small town feel to it but if I drive for about 15 minutes or so, I'd reach Center City. So I get both.

I like small towns because that environment is more conducive of humna interaction. I feel less lonely in small towns because people aren't afraid to talk to one another there.

I'm not sure, does 150,000 count as a small town? I love this place.

I'd honestly prefer living slightly outside of a large city, so that I'm away from the negative aspects of city life but still have some of the upsides of living in a smaller town. I don't think I could ever go fully out into a small town though... I've grown accustommed to all the conveniences, number of people and things to do in a large city.

I prefer suburbes of a city/big town but if I had to pick I'd go with the city. There's always stuff to do and loads of shops nearby. It takes me an hour to get to college and an hour and a half to get back (2 bus rides) but it's worth it. I don't mind commuting far away :)

Idunno I love visiting big cities (except LA area) but Ive lived in modest towns of about 40-60k people my whole life and Ive liked it. Right now I live in a small college town; about 60k people during the school year, and 40k during the summer. Its kinda nice.

Use to live in NYC, moved to Long Island. It sucks.Skylarkell

lol Long Island has NO small towns.

I grew up on Long Island it has a fairly urbanized suburb, plus the LIRR makes a commute to NYC very easy. I can't wait to move back, but I will say, living in Queens was MUCH cooler. When I come back I'll probably move to Brooklyn.

But yeah, Big City FTW, though I did like visiting my friend in her small town in Georgia.

I'm not sure. I actually like medium-sized cities, those that have aspects of both large metropolis' and small towns.

Somewhere in between then, but yeah. I suppose I would prefer to live in a small town, but there are so many other factors that would affect it, such as economy and crime rates. I wouldn't want to live in a **** like Bexhill, for example.

A mix between the 2, I don't want to live in a small town that doesn't have very many stores...

I like living in the city, but maybe when I'm retired I'd prefer to live somewhere more rural
