What is snitching going to do? Its not about simple "honor", its showing that you have enough respect, and enough heart not to get your friend in trouble. And if he is a true friend, he will step forward and not let you take the entire fall.
and what's honor going to bring you 5 years in the future? Do you remember what happened to Brutus because of his honor? Character, creed, discipline. Just because YOU get in trouble doesn't mean YOU should get everyone else in trouble. For what? Just to cause more trouble for some other people? You know rules of the game. If you get caught there will be a price to pay. Don't be a puss and drag everyone down with you. Be a man and pay for your own mistakes, don't make everyone else pay. The ony reason there would ever be to sell anyone else out would be if they betrayed you or tried to pin it on you.
And for what is maintaining Respect going to give you? Honor, respect, all those unwritten laws mean nothing in the long run. If he snitches he gets a more lenient sentence, if he doesn't he gets nothing. If he doesn't snitch he's doing one person a favor, if he does he's doing the world a favor by making sure he gets the discipline he deserves.  All for one and one for all.. I guess. You've obviously never had a real friend. I've been out of school for seven years and I still see my friend from school every here and there. We have been friends since the 4th grade.  Where I come from you don't sell take other people with you. YOU pay your way. It's not my fault you don't realize you could get caught and their will be a price.
 If I were to take other people down with me I would be weak. I would have been defeated. Teachers can be real jerks  As if they enjoy hanging the kids. Like it's some sick twisted revenge. So I wasn't gionna give them the satisfaction nor the opportunity.
 I guess if friends are expendable to you. I guess if you have no idea what a friend is, because you only know how to use people (that's a trait that comes with selfish and self centered) then I guess you should drag him into it.
  If you become accustomed to using people as a kid you will do it as an adult. Discipline is honnor, trust and devotion. A faithful Promise If you say you are going to do something you do it. Friends are supposed to help each other. So if you drag a friend down with you, you are not disciplined, because you are not honoring that friendship nor taking responsibility for what you have done.Â
 People remember and know you for who you are and what you have done. So are you gonna stand tall or be a snake? Honor is revered, because being a coward is easy. Prestige is admired, the rest is forgotten.
 It becomes habitual, if you start doing it now you will be looking for excuses and scapegoats for the rest of your life.
