I think you are exaggerating what he said a bit.

It sounds like he doesn't know for sure if there is anything in the documents like that but he's saying there could be given the govt's reaction.
But that doesn't quite grab headlines does it?

He "thinks" there is something hidden amongst the 1.7 million documents he leaked that is really stressing the government out, but no one has located it.

Misleading title is misleading.

Russia said they're going to release something to do with 9/11, I wonder if this has anything to do with that.

I hate when people say they have something huge but then take forever to release it. I think Snowden is just creating hype around himself now. I'll believe him when it actually releases these earth shattering revelations.
