It's already a reduced version LOL...the original Deathly Hallows was like 1500 Pages with complete Epilogue.

Blubadox

Source? That sounds rather hard to believe..

i like the movies and the books so i guess i am? i've actually never read the 7th book though, But im looking forward to the movies and will read the book before i see them.

Silent-Hal
The seventh one is AH MAY ZING

The final book would have been better IMO if they'd have cut out that huge chunk in the middle where nothing actually happens. You could literally replace over 100 pages of the book with something along the lines of: "and they travelled like that for months" and it wouldn't have made much of a difference at all.

It's not that long when you go back and re-read it, IMO. It feels really long and pointless the first time, but I like that from a literary standpoint. Ron, Hermione, and Harry had no idea what they were doing, had no leads, and were just trying to survive... the reader feels their hopelessness, and it makes the ending all the more epic. I wouldn't change a page of that book. :)

Im not a fan, but i really enjoyed reading the two first books, and the movies are fairly decent (atleast the 1st one, which is the only Harry Potter movie i have seen) I could see myself becoming a fan of it, but alas, as previously stated, i am not.

I'm a huge fan. I just finished watching ABC Family's Harry Potter weekend all day then I put in the Order of the Phoenix. I just finished reading the Deathly Hallows and all I can say is since they are making it into 2 movies I hope they really follow the book. It was epic.

It's too late for that, they've skipped too many continuing plot elements...

huge fans of the books and movies, although i did think the fourth movie felt rushed until it neared the end and i found it unfair that they didn't let us watch the Quidditch world cup but i thnk overall the movies are excellent. haven't seen the sixth yet but the Voldemort-Dumbeldore duel at the end of the fifth was just pure awesome.

After reading the 7th and looking back at the films I think they can pull it off. Theres nothing really in the book that couldn't be quickly explained. The people who just watch the films will find it harder to follow but it will still all fall together. Horcrux's, hallows, dobby, traveling has all been set up and thats what the book mainly was (still fantastic though)

I love the books, the films were always abit dissapointing in comparison but I still liked watching them. I just hope the final film being split into 2 means they follow the book properly!

SFXL3W15

I have always felt the same way. I think there is way too much in the final book which can't be left out and that is the reason for the two parts.

I'm not a fan of it, but I've read the first 4 books and saw the first 4 movies, and recently saw the 6th, which was boring. I seen and read it, but I can't say I liked it.

Huge fan of books, movies and video games. Why? I don't know. Guess it's just a guilty pleasure.

I liked book 6 better than 4 and 5. It was more compact and not filled with unnecessary side stories. The movies were all streamlined enough to enjoy.

Yeah, still the background story behind horcurxes is ripped off, harry-snape relationship is not very well done...I mean you know whom snape loved and why he protected harry...so it's very difficult to pull that off andI'm alsoguessing they are going to shorten Dumbledore's backstory (grindelwald, arianna, aberforth).

True i guess but I personally won't mind about lost dialogue aslong as the scenes follow the chapters in the book. All those missing scenes in HBP was truely annoying so aslong as the order of things is right with no places or events missed out I think it'll be a brilliant film.

They've told us where the Part 1 ends so we can guess how the story will be like, Part 1 will end when Ron destroys the locket...so I'm guessing they are going to include Godric's Hollow, Skeeter's book, Weasley's house, Dumby's will and the Rescue. Yesterday, I saw some photos of the chase scene...so that would be the "Seven Potters" rescue scene I guess....I hope it's good, my favorite part is the King's Cross where harry
goes after he dies.
:P
