You've got a great situation and you don't know it dude!!

The girl you like is a friend of your friend?? does not get easier than that dude..

Let your friend help you out.. big you up in conversation and stuff and then ask both of them to a movie..

And talk to your girl a lot  make her laugh and stuff (it will come to you ;) ) and then next time just ask her.

And if shes not comfertable enough to go alone with you ask your friend to join you again and let her bail in the last second so you will be alone anyway!
