That's the best answer. Whats the worst that could happen anyway if yo just asked him straight up, anyway?

I know parts in the Bible that says that child molestation is okay... shall I post them?yes he is odd i knowThis... is unique. I've never seen an asking-a-guy-out thread before.
But before I make a complete ass out of myself, just make it clear to me now: are you female or a homosexual male?

How would that justify it, if there were these parts of the bible (which I don't know there are)?

I've read the bible and haven't found them either.. But I was just implying about the culture of the time that's it.

Numbers 31:17-18
Maybe not parts, but its something.
There's also child abuse:
Genesis 22
Deuteronomy 21:18-21;
23:2
Proverbs 13:10;
20:30;
22:15;
23:13-14
Psalm 137:9

There is no such verse.
http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Numbers%2031:17-18&version=9;Numbers 31:17-18 King James Version
17Now therefore kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman that hath known man by lying with him.
18But all the women children, that have not known a man by lying with him, keep alive for yourselves.

No.
Maybe not parts, but its something.
There's also child abuse:
Genesis 22
Where is the abuse? Last I checked, nothing happened. . . .
Deuteronomy 21:18-21;
This doesn't speak about young children. . . .
23:2
2A bastard shall not enter into the congregation of the LORD; even to his tenth generation shall he not enter into the congregation of the LORD.
Says nothing about children or abusing children.
Proverbs 13:10;
0Only by pride cometh contention: but with the well advised is wisdom.
:|:|:|
20:30;
30The blueness of a wound cleanseth away evil: so do stripes the inward parts of the belly.
:|:|::|
22:15;
15Foolishness is bound in the heart of a child; but the rod of correction shall drive it far from him.
1. This is like spanking.:|
2. Do you know what "proverb" means?:|
23:13-14
13Withhold not correction from the child: for if thou beatest him with the rod, he shall not die.
14Thou shalt beat him with the rod, and shalt deliver his soul from hell.
Same as above.
Psalm 137:9
9Happy shall he be, that taketh and dasheth thy little ones against the stones.
:| Seriously, look this one up. David (who wrote Psalms) had children himself.
Please don't copy/paste some verses from some antitheist website. It's infinitely more offensive than calling me a *** or saying I'll go to Hell for my sexuality.

Numbers 31:17-18- and this is talking about what happened, it's not saying it's right?
Maybe not parts, but its something.
There's also child abuse:
Genesis 22- refers to God asking Abraham to sacrifice his son to him
Deuteronomy 21:18-21; Punishing and stoneing those who are disobedient, common practice of the time
23:2- Talking about reasons why you wouldn't enter heaven?
Proverbs 13:10; Pride only Breeds in quarrels but wisdom is found in those who take advice?
20:30; Talking about being injured, "beatings purge the inmost being"
22:15; Well talks about original sin here "sin is foolish it's in the heart
23:13-14- do not with hold punishment from a child, if you beat him he will not die?
Psalm 137:9 Read all 137, talks about what the Egyptians did to the young born of the isrialites.
It's not talking about anything bad, beating you kid teaches them disipline. It doesn't say beat them into submission it's just like spanking your kid, it's not a bad thing. And as the molestation thing, it's a story of war not a teaching.[QUOTE="Theokhoth"][QUOTE="zakkro"]I know parts in the Bible that says that child molestation is okay... shall I post them? zakkro

What website is it? As you obviously didn't read the verses yourself.
And so what? If ten thousand people interpret it as "yes" but three people say "no" and all of the evidence points to "yes" then who cares what the three deluded people have to say?

1. You did not post where you go tthe verses from, and I don't believe you. You would have taken a lot of time to look them up, and had you actually read the verses you never would have stated that the Bible approves of child molestation. The fact that you did anyway tells me that you copy/pasted the verses from some antitheist website. So please, tell me where you REALLY got the verses.
2. Yes, and that interpretation can be wrong. There's an interpretation that says the Garden of Eden was in Atlantis. That is wrong. We do have methods of proving one interpretation right or wrong, you know.:roll:

It's true it can be interperated a certain way but if you read the entire chapter you would realize that it isn't saying molestation is right. That's what to many people do is they read a few lines and think they know what it means when the entire chapter talks about it. When you interpret something in the bible you must read the entire chapter maybe even 2 or more chapter multiple times before you can look at it and interpret it, and people definitely don't do this that's why there are so many new christian denomonations forming every year.
[QUOTE="LJS9502_basic"][QUOTE="zakkro"] So it can't be interpreted in more than one way? zakkroThe Bible can be misinterpreted...but it isn't ambiguous. You have to know how to read it.And how does one read it? Subjectively?
"Thou shalt not kill."
I subjectively interpret this verse to say "thou shalt kill whomever thou willst."
Is my interpretation right, or bat-**** insane?

I notice how you make no mention of HOW to read it, after making such a claim. I suppose it's just the LJ way, huh? So you have the monopoly on biblical interperetation and you're not sharing? :roll:
By the way Theo, homosexuality is condemned - heavily - within christianity. Now, I'm not saying I condemn it...I personally couldn't care less what you do, and I actually live in a city with a high homosexual population. Obviously, I'd move if it bothered me. Most of them are nice guys. Just so you know that I'm not attacking it...HOWEVER, if you don't know that christianity condemns homosexualtiy, and then claim to be a christian, you've gotta be seriously confused. Did not your own god say that it was a sin for a man to lay with another man? The god you worship?
The term gay christian" makes about as much sense as "vegetarian meat", or, "cold sunshine". It just doesn't fit.

nope it's not but you have to read the rest of the verse it's looks bad from that but if you go back several verses you'll realize that it's talking about a historic event that happened.
