People still use physical calenders? I've mainly relied on my phone and MS outlook.

Yeah, there's a sense of charm to still using an old fashioned wall calendar. Plus, you don't have to find your phone or turn on your computer to look at a calendar.

"There is a story I know. It's about the earth and how it floats in space on the back of a turtle. I've heard this story many times, and each time someone tells the story, it changes. Sometimes the change is simply in the voice of the storyteller. Sometimes the change is in the details. Sometimes in the order of events. Other times it's the dialogue or the response of the audience. But in all the tellings of all the tellers, the world never leaves the turtle's back. And the turtle never swims away. One time, a young girl in the audience asked about the turtle and the earth. If the earth was on the back of the turtle, what was below the turtle? Another turtle, the storyteller told her. And below that? Another turtle. And below that? Another turtle. The girl began to laugh, enjoying the game, I imagine. So how many turtles are there? she wanted to know. The storyteller shrugged. No one knows for sure, he told her, but it's turtles all the way down."

A man keeled over, dead from heat exhaustion with a map of Texas in the back with a thermometer reading 105.

I can believe it. It's so hot here everyday. My sister just asked if it was hot outside and I said, "Do you think it's cool, it's at least 100 everyday." She stated that she thought it was supposed to be 98 sometime this week and I laughed and said, "Do you think you'll be able to feel a difference of 2 degrees when the humidity is also over 60%?" HaHa, I love my sister. So naive.

The only calendar I have is my South Park calendar and that was from 2009. It's also on the other side of my room and I'm too lazy to check the August picture. I'm sure it's something funny, though...

I have a calender downstairs from 2006. It has been there so long without being moved that the paint behind where it was hanging is noticeably a different color.
