ok i live in an apartment for school with several other roommates and a new one just moved in because someone just moved out. here is evidence that proves hes a troll.

1.wont play a game if it isnt highly rated
2.wont watch a movie that isnt highly rated
3.wont watch a video of poor quality
4.walked out on our super smash brothers brawl marathon because i wanted to play and well quite frankly i was tired of the cornia(old n64 star fox map sorry cant spell it correctly) for the 20th time in a row so i started picking random. he walked out because you cant play on any map but that one.
5.as one of my other roommates put it "argueing with him gives you a headache" - clear sign of full blown trollness
6.saids random and stupid things that everyone just looks up and says ok...and moves on or if we argue see point 5
7. when i think of troll i think of fat people i dont know why and hes a little chubby.

so there is my evidence to how he is a troll. my question is have you run into a troll before in real life? what would you do if you did? and would you donate money to a team of sciencists to study this person so we can finnally figure what makes trolls tick and make the internet better for us all? i personally would but im in college and broke because of that but if any others want to help the cause please this may be our only change to track capture and study a troll in its natural habitat. please gamespot OT help me!

Sounds like a couple of my nephews. One's a PS3 fanboy. The other likes the 360. When the two knuckleheads come visiting, they're always arguing. The only time they stop is when I yell at them or they snicker at the kid's Wii in the family room.

Actually, within this past week I had a conversation with a guy at work where...I think I was saying something about how I didn't understand why some people were so mean online. Here's a rough approximation of part of what followed:

HIM: Uh...I kinda do that.

ME: You troll?

HIM: Sometimes.

ME: Why?

HIM: Because it's funny. Some people take things so seriously.

ME: Yeah....

HIM: I mean, I don't wanna hurt anyone.

So, yeah. Needless to say, I'm probably not gonna be spending any of my free time with him. :P

I like to say obscene things, when it's deserved or just funny. But either people are REAL sensitive and weak these days or I'm just saying grossly obscene things and don't realize I'm doing it. "WTF" is the story of my life. Apparently I just don't get it or something. I feel like someone is always sand bagging me. I'm always shocked, because I don't intentionally go out of my way to give anyone a hard time.Someone is always telling me I'm doing something wrong. But maybe it's not me. Maybe they like to dictate their ridiculous standards. I'm always confused and saying or thinking "WTF" But whatever. I just assume whatever aggravates me entertains someone else. It's not paranoia, they actually are out to **** with me.

So I guess who is a troll and why all depends the person. There is no way to define it. I've always thought of a troll as someone who is determined to give others a hard time simply because they can. They're not interested in giving anyone the benefit of the doubt, they justDON'T want to get along. If they weren't deliberately annoying someoneor pissing someoneoff they wouldn't have anything to do. Giving others a hard time...is their life.

It's basically impossible to tell someone something negative without them taking offense. Tact is avoidance. So if you were totell him to be less obnoxious otherwise you will have ananuyerism... hemay be offended, he may consider that to be rude. Just like telling someone they need to bath. There is no tactful way of doing that and actually telling them that. You either tell them oravoid telling them. But why play games and pretend your intent is any different than it is? Doesn't matter howyou say it or hint it,it all translates into the same thing. Playing gamesjust takes longer and insults their intelligence.

You could always try... "You suck, I hate you, I hope you fall down the stairs slam into the exitdoorstumble outside trip on the curbget hitby a bus and die." I'm being facetious of course. Or you could just translate it into "I do not care for you therefore I hope you are fatally injured in a ridiculous Tom & Jerry fashion.
