You have to be more specific, there's more than one of them you know.

They are actually not all that heavy....depending on the gun. They have alot of backfire though, expessially a shotgun. They keeping your stance on the first time you fire on of those. You wont fall back, but you'll definatly have troube trying to stay standing straight up when you fire, well, after you fire.

Pistals arn't heavy at all though, assult rifles arn't really either. Shotguns are probably to heaviest....well, not counting lightt machine guns, but I've never held one of those, but I'd imagine they are pretty heavy...the closest I've been to holding on of those is holding 1 barrel to a F-16 fighter jet. Those are really heavy.....

This is madness!! never used a gun? Well i havent fired much.. but if its your first couple times like me, the recoil well get you 0_0... especially if you don't hold the shotgun to your shoulder.. or it will feel like some guys huge fist jamming into your shoulder.

Depends on the gun really. The rifles I shoot weigh from anything between 3 to 6 kg. Not that heavy at all, but some guns are heavy. The Barrett 50. Caliber for example, weighs about 14 to 15 kg. Some guns are completely impractical for single-person use.

It's about as heavy as half a dead baby, or three quarters of a dead puppy if you use the metric system...

Depends on the gun, but I read somewhere that modern assault rifles (M16, AK, etc) can be carried by small children, so they mustn't be too heavy.
