President loves killing so, he will gain pleasure from it.

The country gains nothing.  I think Obama made a mistake when he declared "a red line" on chemical weapons.  We should be in a support role, not the lead.

[QUOTE="-Sun_Tzu-"]

[QUOTE="KC_Hokie"]And if I remember correctly, Senator Obama was one of those who voted against the 'illegal' Iraq war.

He now wants to strike Syria with no UN legal backing.

Hokie, it seems as if you haven't changed much since I've been gone. Firstly you don't remember correctly, because Obama was a Illinois state representative when the Iraq resolution was voted on in congress. And quite a few democrats voted for said resolution - including but not limited to now-Vice President Joe Biden, former-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, former-house majority leader/now-house minority whip Steny Hoyer, Senator Harry Reid, and our current Secretary of State, John Forbes Kerry. 40% of democrats in the house and 58% of democrats in the Senate voted for the Iraq war. While the charge of hypocrisy applies to a select few high ranking members of the democratic party (Nancy Pelosi comes to mind), to apply that charge against the entire democratic party isn't supported by reality. The democratic leadership now, much like back during the debate over Iraq, are in support of a strike on Syria.

Hi Sun, welcome back.

[QUOTE="BossPerson"][QUOTE="Jebus213"]

I'm a little confused here.

Jebus213

you personally, nothing

okay....

nothing, it is one of those rare occasions where conflict is warranted; Syria violated the "rules" of war (Chemical weapons were banned after WWI), and as a result, the international community needs to strike against them.

Sadly, it is up to the US to lead, so we will A.) end up getting all the hate, B.) spend more money we really should not, and C.) be even more loathed despite doing what the US (and all other countries) are obligated to do.

Obviously there is a lot more to the US's involvement than the above, but that is the gist of it.

French cheese. I don't know for sure, not 100% anyway but this seems possible to me. I'm well prepared if this does happen.

something pertaining to liberal arts probably. He doesn't seem like a science guy.
