I usually just politely say "no, thank you." If somebody presses me for a reason, I'll usually tell them that I don't owe them a reason. If they keep pressing, I go into an extremely detailed explanation about why I don't want to do whatever it is they're suggesting. They either understand and leave me alone, get offended and leave, or try to argue with me. I'm ok with the first 2 outcomes. If they argue, I get hostile.

I'm usually bad at lying on the spot, and so I end up having to go along with whatever. :cry:Aquat1cF1sh

I normally use work as excuse, because I do work quite often, and alot of people know that, but they dont know my hours ;)

I usually actually have an excuse except it usually doesn't work lol. I don't know how but one of my friends got away with not doing homework by saying "i fell down the stairs." He made me laugh a lot when he told me that hhahah

I say that I have to do something, so I can't go out. If they keep pushing, I say "Ok, ok, I want to play games, I'm not going out."

Funny, but it works. Truth is always best. Well, you are probably going to get some lectures, but I can live with that.
