i dont care about it and im english.......
but i did watch some, there are trees in the church 0_o
I was, then they finally put the football on. I think she looked very pretty but her dress is hideous.
I am. Of course.
I thought the service was rather sedate and intimate for a Royal Wedding, I really liked it, not so much pomp and circumstance as usual. Westminster Abbey looked amazing with the trees in there, and the simple Lily-of-the-Valley flowers, and I thought Kate's dress was absolutely stunning.
Can't wait for the balcony kiss!
Definitely watched, it's cool to see history being made. I got maybe 2 hours of sleep so hopefully I don't crash before the balcony stuff. The dress was understated which I expected, totally fitting for the bride but still slightly disappointing for my personal tastes.
If any men are watching it by choice, I demand they hand in their man cardchaoscougar1Kate is hot though, I wanted to see what she looked like in her dress.
ok i'm not sure about this my sister just said it cost like 40 million pound for this wedding is this true?lol
actually 20-25 I think, but yeah still a huge spillage of the tax payer's money. i'm British and love the royal spectacle and all but the media absolutely killed my excitement for this event.ok i'm not sure about this my sister just said it cost like 40 million pound for this wedding is this true?lol

I'm in Canada, I watched it. I just shut it off, actually. Literally THE most boring wedding ever, the dress was really plain, and now they're interviewing random people about what they think of it. More boring. And they didn't even kiss, apparently you have to wait a few more hours for that.XilePrincess
Her dress being plain was the whole point, she didn't want to steal the show, wanted to be traditional.
Anyway, I didn't watch it and I'm English. I couldn't care less.
The wedding itself was paid for by the families privately. The cost to the taxpayer comes from things such as security, street preparations, etc. Hopefully the cost will have been more than worth it (eg the tourism among other things), though there's no strong way to measure thatok i'm not sure about this my sister just said it cost like 40 million pound for this wedding is this true?lol

The wedding costs are supported by the Royal Family and the Middletons. Only security is payed from the treasury. The land the monarchy owned is now the Government's, and it brings an income of about 240 million pounds per year.
Instead of wedding gifts the guests will make donations for charity.

There's a difference between being plain and simple and being PLAIN and boring. She apparently spent ~80k to get TREES brought into the abbey, you'd think she could get something a bit more interesting. I'm not saying she had to look like a puffy white cake or something, but when you're getting married to prince william and having an exceptionally lavish ceremony, you'd think she'd pick something a bit more fancy than what any regular woman would wear.

To be honest, I don't think it matters; I can't believe so many people care for Royalty.
I still don't get why this is such a big deal. Who the hell cares about the royal family any more? To me, it's just some more overly glorified celebrity gossip...
