No one bit of it, not a care in the world honestly. Not that I have anything against all the publicity of it, each to their own.

I'd rather play Superman 64 with 1 fps than to watch a royal wedding... All that money for something as stupid as a wedding. They could have used the money for something more important.

I muted the religious hymns and such when they came on, wasn't too bothered by the ceremony, but the following procession with the cavalry and guardsmen and WWII planes, that's where the Britishness gets turned up to 11 - That was the part I wanted to see.

The Royal Wedding has actually created a bump in British GDP from tourism and travel over the last few weeks. Hardly wasted.

Wrong the wedding itself was paid for by the family

The policing of crowds ect by taxpayer as is happens thats what we pay taxes for policing

I watched 5 minutes of them leaving the room, seeing a couple of army helicopters fly over my house yesterday was the best part though. I hope William does his country proud tonight ;)

I stayed up til 3:00am to watch it, got an hour of sleep, and sprinted to class.

But it was worth it to see such a beautiful wedding. (although I kept telling the choir to stop singing so much:x)

And Kate looked stunning.

I love it when people say they were forced to watch something because their parents watched it or some other BS excuse like that. So you only have 1 tv in the house? you have no friends you could go hang out with? no handheld gaming system? don't play sports? don't go outside period?

You were "forced" to watch that wedding about as much as I am "forced" to kiss my GF. Face it, you wanted to watch it and now you're making excuses. Then you're going to go to school/work and "complain" about how you had to watch it to the guys.

to be perfectly honest I don't think many people watched it live, maybe not by lack of interest but by the unconventional time (for us) I mean it was on a 3am where I live I think most people were asleep, they've been playing highlight clips all morning though

There's nothing wrong with catching glimpses of it or anting to see her dress(she looked amazing BTW). but to say that you watched the entire wedding(live or taped) because you were forced to is BS no matter what way you look at it.

BTW, to see her in her dress... google it. pictures or 30 second vid clips to be found everywhere.

And children are still dying of hunger and diseases in third world countries while England gets tourist to celebrate 2 people getting married,Japan is also still in shambles, etc.

Ya, it's a waste.

There will always be inequality. There will always be poverty. There will always be children that at some point go hungry. Why is it a waste when it has attracted the attention of billions of people, making millions happy?

i watched practicly all of it, it doesnt happen everyday, the dress wasnt too OTT which was good, the fact that they sung the national anthem (god save the queen) in the church actually pissed me off, its their wedding. The old bag needs to pass down her throne quick, and so on so we can actually have a young monarch

It's a waste cause those billions of people are happy, but that's it. Congrats they created a happy memory. Nothing changed in their life. I'm not saying they shouldn't be happy, I mean, congrats to the newly weds and all, but honestly, was all that extra crap REALLY necessary. And you're just using happiness as a reason why it's not a waste? Give a poor family 5$ even and they'll be MUCH happier than what the billions of people attending a wedding. Now imagine how much more happier they would be if things happened to their village that changes their lives for the better. Again, don't get me wrong, I'm truly happy for them, congrats on the wedding and everything, but cut back on the extra garbage and use the money something better and hey who knows, might give him a better reputation for helping out those who need it.

With respect, It's not particularly our responsibility that there is hunger and disease in third world countries...
