What's your take on this? I think it was just a bit of a joke that backfired, in particular because of the church's already tainted history with homosexuality.

I was fine until I got to the "militant preaching" part. As if he doesn't do it, he's a god damned priest. And anal sex isn't exclusive to same-sex couples, heterosexual couples do it too. Why not tattoo them? And it really can't "seriously damage your health" unless you do it wrong. In which case, it would be that person's fault.

I think it was a seriously distasteful joke, played on the cigarrette packets that're sold nowadays with "Smoking can seriously damage your health" on them. But I agree that it isn't just limited to same-sex couples.
