Gamespoters,

I started an English IV research paper on my laptop and transferred the files via email to our office computer. The paper at the time only had a rough outline helping me organize my thoughts. I downloaded and opened the file using Yahoo after sending the email to myself and continued my work. Five hours later I finished my research paper. I planned on taking a break so I saved it for the last time and exited out of Microsoft Word. On my return the file was not to found anywhere on my computer. I did not use the 'Save As' function and only clicked 'Save'. The document did not prompt me to find a location so I assumed it was on my desktop. Please help. My english grade is depending on this research paper and I do not believe I can produce one of the same quality tonight. Where could the file be located?!

I also managed to melt a plastic spoon in the dishwasher so my home has been filled with toxic fumes for the past two hours.

I'd check my download directories and temporary files.

Just open the window and let the fumes out. That should do the trick.

Check the download directory for your web browser. Unless you download a bunch of documents, it should be easy to find once you're there.

Edit:

I'd check my download directories and temporary files. thriteenthmonke

Way to own me.

Using IE where is the download directory? I have searched the computer ten times over using the search function and nothing has turned up. Recent documents does not show any trace of it.

ok usually on a computer there are 2 "desktops" if you checked the one first desktop (the one with all the icons where your computer first loads up) and it is not there go to the C: and look for the folder that is named desktop.

If it isn't there (or you don't have one of those) go to your C: and click the search button (it will have a magnifying glass next to it) and click that and search for the document within the last week and it will most certainly come up, but it could take a while doing this like 10 minutes or so)
