And I don't men bisexual men. I mean flat out gay men. Allow me to explain as to how I found this out.So, I was watching The King Of Queens, which is one of my favorite shows BTW. And in this particular episode, Arthur Spooner(played by Jerry Stiller)is about to marry a vuloptuous large breastedwoman named Ava(played by Lainie Kazan)Arthur SpoonerAva(far right)Now in one particular scene, she tells Carrie(who is the woman in the green dress) about how her first husband was a jerk(who was heterosexual BTW), and now alll of her previous husbands have been gay men. Arthur walks in, and tells Ava about how he can't wait to take her home, rip her dress off, and have his way with her. Ava up to that time, had thought that Arthur was gay(because he would behave like a stereotypical homosexual man).Ava then proceeds to flee, when Arthur walks out of the room,and is never seen again in that episode.Carrie breaks the news to him, he is devastated, and decides to marry another woman.Now, here is where I'm confused. Why would a heterosexual woman, want to marry a gay man. She had to be heterosexual at one point, seeing as she married a straight man. This is what I came up with.(1.) Her first husband has made her intoa heterosexual/asexual combo. She will allow her gay husband to continue to have sex with other men, just aslong as he remains emotionally attatched to her. Not to mention that she is getting married completely for the emotional attatchment/companionship, and she probably sees herself able to get along with a gay man, moreso, than a straight one. Seeing as it is a stereotype that gay men, behave like straight women.Some of you may be saying that it is impossible to be both heterosexual, and asexual. This is not true. There are varying degress of asexuality. Her degree of asexuality probably stems from the fact that she doesn't want sex...Ever(which is a shame). But she is still attracted to men.OR(2.) She has always been somewhat asexual, and wouldn't allow her first husband to have sex with her, he couldn't put up with it, so he left.I have researched this online, and this is what I found.This happens with lesbians aswell.More woman than men want to marry the homosexual counterpart of the opposite sex. I don't know if I would marry a lesbian, I might. They're funner(is that a word?)to be around. Would you do something like this? And when I ask that questionI'm not referring to if you would prefer it, but rather if you would allow it to happen. What if your spouse is gay/lesbian/straight without you knowing until farther into the marriage/relatioship? (your options depends on your gender, and sexuality)
