For me its

Eels - Losing streak

this song is very special to me. here why

afew years ago me and about 5 other friends were hanging out. one of our freinds was sad and telling us about problems he has been having with his girlfreind. he begins to get depressed to the point of crying. because of this we all begin to share problems in our lives. the whole mood of the night was just depressing.

I cant remeber exactly what he said, but the last line one of my freinds said was "You know realy, in the end people are all just full of ****"

the second his says this sentance

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GZQT5yO0BUs

^this song plays from the speakers. the happiest most uplifting song ever

well all look at eachother then just bust out lauging  . one of the greatest nights ever.

Mad World By Gary Jules

No real story behind it, I just feel like that song is describing my life. Maybe that sounds stupid but whatever.

Linkin Park - In the End (the first song that got me into music)

Moist - Underground (Song that seems so fitting for me when I'm melancholic)

Orbital - Halcyon on and on (Gives me the perfect escapism)

Serj Tankian - Saving Us (A song that seems to reflect how I feel about the world right now)

Muse - Shrinking Universe (Fell in love with this song after seeing the 28 Weeks Later trailer)

Video Game themes:

Resident Evil 4 save room and typewriter theme (gave me the perfect feeling of safety and serenity in such a hostile environment)

Metroid Prime Phendrana Drift (such a beautiful theme that fits in such a beautiful environment)

Doesn't it get boring after a while? I try to play my favourite songs only once in a while for fear that my emotions for the song decreases.

Nirvana-The Man Who Sold the World

Nirvana has been the basis of my musical taste. I have been listening to them since was 2 or 3. That just happens to be like my fav song of theirs and it always feels special everytime I hear it. Pretty much the whole Nevermind album and certain other songs off of In Utero are also really special to me.

Red Hot Chili Peppers-Californication

I do believe this was the first cd I ever got. I got multiple copies of it given to me one Christmas seemingly out of the blue as I had never mentioned liking the band. Thing is my Dad and Uncle use to play guitar together including some RHCP stuff so it was just a band that kind of got handed down to me.

Stevie Ray Vaughan-Little Wing

Just a great song that my parents used to play on the boombox while we were camping.

The original Man Who Sold the World By Bowie was better. ;) Though Kurt did add his own spin on it. But as for me.. To much to think of to really name one or a few.

If I remember correctly couldn't stand the Bowie version. I felt his s t y l e didn't fit the song at all.....

On the other hand, the Nirvana version is absolutely perfect and truely captures the mood of the lyrics IMO.

In the studio recordings its a tad overdone.. And dragged out. Ending always killsit to me. But Bowie does it proper live.
Nirvana's version is on off better to me and one of my favorites off the MTV unplugged album/show. But you always gotta give props to the original composer.

I got respect for Bowie it's just when I had heard his version it just felt way off to me...

And the Unplugged Nirvana version is the TRUE version as far as I am concerned. Same with All Apologies. They are sooo much better than the abum versions! God I wish I could have seen them live....

When by Opeth. This song got me into Opeth hardcore, and through Opeth, I discovered just about every other band I like nowadays.

In fact, it was this exact video. The part around 30 seconds was mind-blowingly awesome for me. Sadly, the studio version of this song is played faster, and isn't nearly as atmospheric.
