Congratulations, you lived long enough for this to become a thing.

Sweet, but with that said...
Tired of these mislabeled "flying cars"; I've been hearing about how these things are coming to market for 20+ years, back when Discovery Channel actually had science shows and said "...by 1999 we expect half the vehicles out there to be flying automobiles!"
Yeah, well...2017, buddy.
And let's get something straight, that ain't no car. To be a car, it needs to do what a car can do, at least equivalently. Go to the store to pick up groceries, stop by soccer practice to pick up the kids, and more. Also, safe and relatively idiot proof...adding a third dimension might seem like a good idea, but damn that's going to confuse millions.
Looks fun recreationally. As long as they follow flying regulations it could work practically. AI or a designated pilot can fly people and choose the safest route. It can't be a free for all, fly whenever you want.

Yeah :(
I bet you when Wright brothers first made that plane, people then probably thought everyone would be flying everywhere by 1930.

Yeah, it takes at least two world wars to make that happen.
So...WWIV or later needs to happen.
Chop, chop Russia, China, and US! GET BUSY!
