I read up an interview on MTV and he aparantly think's he's better than Jay Z and Kanye West.
This kid will be NOTHING more than a one hit wonder, and will be guaranteed to be working at a McDonalds in the nearby future.

Horrible, horrible atrocities...
I think he'll end up being pretty good (and is already).
As for criticising him thinking he's great, all people do that (or all competitive people). I mean ask a professional athlete how good they are, and they'll say the best.
I think he also got into it one time with 50 Cent and GZA...tbone29
Here's what I saw. GZA and the Wu-Tang Clan were doing a show, and GZA was talking on stage for a little bit about the degrading state of rap, and someone in the crowd yelled out "Soulja Boy and 50 Cent suck ****!" GZA put the mic to the guy's mouth and had him repeat that several times so everyone heard it. Then someone went to 50 Cent to ask him for his response, and 50 made some ridiculous disses against GZA, and backed up Soulja Boy. Not sure if Soulja Boy ever responded to GZA, but he'd be really stupid to do so.
