Speed Racer movie: Yay or Nay?

When I saw the initial trailer, I was like "Who made Mario Kart into a movie?! RENTAL!"

The updated trailer with the Mammoth Car and the gadgets made me do a 180 on my feelings of the movie. I'll drop $12 to see it.

I have a feeling that if I was a fan of the original anime I'd be even more disgusted with the Speed Racer trailers.
