Hell, if there's one thing I respect about George Lucas, it's that he does what he wants. That he has the balls to piss off his entire fanbase while still acting like, "**** the fans, they're my movies and I'll make whatever changes I want to."

MrGeezer

At this point I'm convinced that Lucas is trolling his fans for the lulz. There's simply no other way to explain Vader's newly inserted "nooooooooo" in the new edition of 'Return of the Jedi'.

The "NO!" in theory works, it was just poorly implemented. When you think about his "NO!" in RotS and how he became Vader and what's going on here, it sort of comes full circle. But the voice is hokey and poorly edited in. They should have just paid JEJ to come in, do 100 different "NOOOOOOOOOO!" takes and pick the best one. Lucas HAS to have the money. Instead, it sounds like they actually took the voice sample from Ep3 instead of having a new voice over.

In my view it doesn't work, not even in theory, as it ruins the "holy s***" moment where he grabs the Emperor and throws him down the shaft. Granted just about everyone knows it happened now, but when I first saw it that bit surprised the hell out of me.

But regardless I do think the only reason Lucas is putting it in in the first place is because there's been such a big deal made over the "noooooooo" in 'Episode III'.
