not sure if everyone has seen this...

what happened is, for the chinese version of star wars, they transliterated the names of people and places phonetically, so "darth vader" would be "da shi vei da." what they did for the english subtitles on a chinese bootlegged version  was, they actually translated the characters, for example, "da shi vei da" translated to "reaching the west of reaches." by far the weirdest mistranslation IMO is the jedi council, which was translated to "presbyterian (sp?) church."

After watching the whole clip, I noticed that the Jedi Masters all spoke like Yoda when translated. It was fitting, really.
