I've not watched all of the Star Wars movies, but I've seen all LotR ones, so I guess I'm going to have to say LotR.

I prefer Lord of the Rings. I've never really been a fan of Science-fiction.

Oddly enough, although I'm not much of a science-fiction fan and I'm a huge fantasy fan I much prefer the original Star Wars films over the Lord of the Rings movies. I've never really been much of a fan of Tolkien and I hoped the movies might change that. They didn't.

Star Wars by a light year! I can watch the original trilogy over and over, I grew up with them and know most of the dialogue off by heart lol

I do like Lord of the Rings but I find that watching it again can be a real slog, and Sam and Frodo's fawning, sycophantic relationship is vomit inducing

While I grew up with Star Wars, I like LOTR much better. I found it more epic, the acting better, just all around awsome.

If it's the first three star wars movies, then star wars. If it's the second three (in order of their release, not chronology), then Lord of the Rings. If it's all six, then Lord of the Rings.

star wars by a country mile, partly because return of the king sucked balls at the cinema and didnt become a good watch until the extended edition got released, and also because ESB is simply the greatest film ever made - the baddies win what more can you say
