IMO LOTR

I picked Lord of the Rings since I find them to be over all better than the original trilogy, and better than the prequel trilogy by a mile. Though if this was including the EU of Starwars, I'd pick that without hesitation.
LotR is vastly superior as far as movies go, plus I like the fantasy sci-fi genre better than future sci-fi. But Star Wars is a classic that will be remembered for ages. I like both almost equally.
If I must choose, I would pick LOTR, just because overall as a movie its better, and my bias toward the fantasy theme :P
LOTR trilogy is far better in all mediums- much richer lore, better written characters and just more awesome.
Plus George Lucas has a problem with fleshing out his characters and worlds, instead he fills his universe with aliens we can't remember the names of.LOTR trilogy is far better in all mediums- much richer lore, better written characters and just more awesome.

Probably?
It's not future Sci-fi, it's in the past because in the beginning of every Star Wars movie, it says, "A long, long ago, in a galaxy far, far away..."LotR is vastly superior as far as movies go, plus I like the fantasy sci-fi genre better than future sci-fi. Hard to compare the 2, but Star Wars seems to have deeper content in it, through comic books, games, etc.

I'm sorry, Star Wars is about as deep as the shallow end of a kiddie pool.Probably the worst character in the series.[QUOTE="mitu123"][QUOTE="Allicrombie"] mee'sa Jar Jar Binks! =PBlackDevil99

I remember someone years ago was using a website where you choose different methods to kill Jar Jar. I dunno which character could be worse in Star Wars, though, according to mitu...[QUOTE="hydralisk86"]It's not future Sci-fi, it's in the past because in the beginning of every Star Wars movie, it says, "A long, long ago, in a galaxy far, far away..."[QUOTE="KamuiFei"]

I'm sorry, Star Wars is about as deep as the shallow end of a kiddie pool. Like I said, there is much more than the movies. In fact, i think someone said that to understand what is going on in the movies, you have to read the books and other media. They have video games, card games, comic books, etc., for Star Wars, and there is stuff inside. I think the content is pretty rich.Example, different aspects of the force, weapons, ships and fighters, alien races, planets, etc.

LOTR has pretty much the same amount content aside from the books and movies than Start Wars (minus crappy cartoon and otherstaight to DVD movies).
