here's my dilemma, i love Star Wars but Star Trek: TNG was amazing. the new Star Trek movie JJ Abrams did was fantastic. so here is my list. 1. Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back 2. Star Trek: TNG 3. Star Wars: A New Hope 4. Star Trek ( 2009 ) 5. Star Trek II: The Wrath Of Khan.

So true. The best Star Trek episodes can be seen several times.not when it comes to Star Trek Enterprise, that show got bad after the second season. I didn't like Enterprise period. I'm mainly into TNG and Voyager. (I've only seen a few episodes of Deep Space Nine... I hope to get into it at some point.)

I'm glad you like Battlestar but I have to wonder if you've actually given Star Trek much of a chance? There's A LOT of negative cultural bias against Star Trek and Trekkies (admittedly the series does look kind of lame on the surface). Many people assume they dislike Star Trek without really knowing anything about the series. Also a lot of people are only familiar with the Original Series which is incredibly cheesy (still great though, imo).

Star Wars, I'm not really big on Star Trek in shows, movies and games. Half of the movies aren't that good(I did like the reboot though), I have yet to finish a season and there's like less than 10 great Star Trek games out there.
I always thought Star Wars had a more realistic feel to it. And grittier compared to Star Trek. Trek feels more like some perfect utopia where anything is possible.
They're incomparable. Star Wars is basically 6 movies and some animated shows/ books. Star Trek has over 700 episodes between all the shows, its universe is much more expansive.
Star Wars. The extended universe, except for the newest series, more than makes up for the mediocre newer movies.

Yes, the books are epic, so many good stories to be had beyond the movies. But there is room for both in my mind. Plus how can you not show some love to the general campy lunacy that was the Star Trek original series.
I hate how people go on now like the only real trek was the original series. The writing in TNG, DS9 and VOY (to an extent) was fantastic and sits alongside any great dramatic series on TV.
