[QUOTE="Pirate700"]Sit-down restaurants typically, ( T.G.I Fridays is one example ) make good burgers. You should try sometime. I make good burgers at home and if I want a good burger when out, I'll go to In N Out.Steak. I don't go to a sit-down restaurant for a burger.

To be fair unless you're talking about great steak that you would get at a good steakhouse (e.g. Morton's), you can actually make a good steak at home.

Anyone ever had a steak burger?AussieePetTechnically, yes I have. I was in Venice many years ago with my family on a one-day-trip and we went to this little restaurant for lunch. I wanted a hamburger. I got served a flat steak of some kind of beef, which cut I have no clue, and a small portion of fries. It said on the menu and on the bill Hamburger. I saw no bun, however.

I hope you asked the waiter to take it back! :o

That depends. If both are offered, I'll usually go with the burger. But I've had some steaks, that cooked right, have blown every hamburger out of the water. Yea, if well prepared, a steak, but usually a burger because I'm better assured it'll usually be great.
I order steak every time. I rarely order a hamburger from restaurants unless that is all they cook. At home, I buy ground sirloin to make hamburgers with so I am still eating steak when I have a burger.
its really depends on the restaurant.
if its a place that generally sells alot of different things, as in no real specialty, i usually settle for a burger.
if its a steakhouse, i get steak, as i know they know how to make it delicious.
Steak, because restaurant burgers are awful. I much prefer a marbled rib eye over a burger, because the bun will be dry, there will be too much dressing inside, lettuce, onion rings and other things I dislike greatly, as well as a mince patty that has some sort of 'special' ingredient that makes the meat taste awful.Deihjan
Lucky
im lucky if i even get a small smathering of condiments.
Burgers. Always burgers. In fact I could go for a burger right now. A delicious bacon cheeseburger with lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, and ketchup. With french fries! And a milkshake! Oh God I'm hungry!
