Have you ever beem stereotyped?

I'm 100% Italian and a few people said I was in the Mafia. I knew they were jokin but.. it was still kinda wierd. Just cause I was comin up with resourceful was to kill a person with a pencil or a stool or a bench. I think it came up while we were talkin about the ending of the Sapranos. Bad ending. It just... ended.

People always stereotype me. I wear dark clothing (I hate bright colors) and they call me emo and goth, and they think I'm going to kill them. :| They make fun of me, laugh at me, and give me strange looks when I tell them I play videogames and defeated this and that game because I'm a girl. I've also been called a dirty *** in seventh grade, and from seventh grade through tenth, I've been called a nazi because I told people I'm German. :|

When I was a student in Ireland I made the mistake of my only coat being a "hoodie" so I was pretty much stereotyped as a juvenal delinquent. I was told to leave alot of places until they heard my American accent.

Also being white in asia has it's ups and downs. The up being that white skin is considered clean and desired, the down being every scam artists tried to make a buck off you.

My friends call me Mexican just because I my first language is spanish.

And they think anyone who lives in latin America is a drug dealer.

Because I'm asian, everybody assumes that I'm the smartest. I guess i'm smart, but not Einstein smart. They also think I know kung fu and automatically assume that I'm Chinese. I'm not Chinese and I don't know kung fu.

Most Americans are over the weight they should be. I wouldn't exactly call a lot of it fat. But definitely overweight. Especially on the East coast. We have the lazy Pilgrim spirit. Out west the people have the pioneer spirit in their DNA less overweight people out that way. But yes you are right more than 50 percent of Americans are overweight.

Most statistics are innacurate. How do they define fat? What if you're 6'8 and weigh 250 lbs? Is that fat?

I'm stereotyped all the time. I have really long hair and a decently long beard. I wear band shirts (when not at work) so people generally think I'm an angry satanist or something. It doesn't really bother me really, I'd prefer people leave me alone.firebird23

Oh to keep on topic. Here's another steriotype. All chicks in GS forums make their profiles private because they think they are mysterious and interesting enough to do so.

Yep, that's all true. I wish I could show this video to all of the people who criticise hip-hop music because of what they see on MTV, the radio, etc., because it's the rappers that are destroying hip-hop, and the MCs that are keeping it alive.
