Stupidest Movie Tricks?

What do you think are some of the dumbest things you run into in movies?
We all know they have plenty of a tricks that are only based on reality, if your lucky.

For me, something that always annoys me, are "silencers" on guns. The high-pitch squeals? Completely wrong. :P

People crawling through ventilation ducts that never seem to be dusty. Plus they usually do it to be sneaky, but in reality I imagine it would make a hell of a lot of noise. Cats in horror movies. They always provide at least one cheap scare. People playing video games in movies. They're usually either holding the controller all weird or have Atari era sound effects coming out of newer consoles.luccaface

I love how when people are working on something there is always some crazy 3d model. Hand Print lock? well why dont we have a cool 3d model of a hand appear on the screen rather than just write "please place your hand here". Working on a DNA strand? well lets have a completely movable DNA sequence generator output this data in real time. Do these people have no processor and ram constraints?

Hey guys, there is this creepy psycho killer locked in this mansion with us, so I suggest we split up! Why the hell do people split up? When has this ever made sense?

I hate when people jump through windows and come out the other side without a scratch.

Everyone regardless of profession or experience is a professional stunt driver. Thats always bugged me.

In most cases, I agree. However, in the case of James Bond, its only natural. You see, you know how they talk about how the Walter Ppk is possessed by only three people (two of whom are dead)? Well, the reason is its a gun specially designed to have infinite ammo :D.

People flipping cars up on two wheels and driving between stuff. Guys fighting 20+ people by themselves unarmed. Guys getting hit like 50 times by an enemy and no signs of blood. Wait, these are all from Transporter movies.

In horror movies where there's clearly something there that wants to hurt them, but instead of running in the oppisite direction like any intelligent person would do, they walk slowly towards it. and die.

Horribly fake video gaming, and guns with way to many bullets. Also cars that do jumps and skids that they would never be able to do. The frequency of engines catching fire too, that doesn't just happen. Now that you mention it the lack of recoil and the slide thing on semi-autos is probably going to be bothering me.

All the good guys have perfect aim and the bad guys can't hit a barn broad-side.

Also, all the choke a guy out or hit him in the head and leave the guy in a dark corner. In reality they're going to regain conciousness in 30 or 40 seconds (most of the time).
And they never hit them hard enough either! It's always a light tap on the back of the head and the guy is lights out. :evil:

Lighting a trail of fuel and then it shoots to the source real fast and blows up. When in reality, you can walk faster than the lighting trail...

The black guy in a squad is always the loudest, carries the biggest weapon, and is a demolitions expert. Closing the mirror cabinet in a bathroom to find someone stood behind them. The sudden violin "sveeee" thing whenever you're meant to be scared. The whole "In a world..." thing for the trailers.AirGuitarist87
