The ONLY way gun control would EVER make any sense is if they were able to instantly and remotely vaporize EVERY gun in America. Otherwise, you are only disarming the lawful citizen and doing NOTHING to the criminal that would have already been unlawfully armed BEFORE the law.

This is actually a good point.

Gun control works just fine in most first world countries, where just about everyone will live their entire lives without ever seeing a gun (besides those in policemen's holsters)...but the US has so many armed criminals that if you're not part of the nation-wide arms race, you're simply not all that safe.

Note: that's not to say that gun control is inherently bad. It's actually the ideal situation - the less extremely lethal weapons around, the better. But the US is way beyond the point of it ever being a feasible option.

He cracked and went nuts over a bad grade? Seriously, WTF is wrong with kids today. Again, there is a serious epidemic with today's kids where their answer to everything is suicide. :|

Yes, because a couple of shady news stories put on spotlight represent the entirety of the teenage population.

Jeebus! Someone actually gets it!<3

When people represent gun control in America as this easy to do thing that would EVER work it's like they are completely clueless about how many unregistered, unlawful and unaccounted for guns there are floating around out there.

If they banned guns today and removed all the legal weapons from circulation it would be about 300 years before the illegal supply dried up so the "get rid of the legal ones and they won't become illegal ones down the road" argument is nigh on ignorant as well.

Ideally there would be no guns and in a lot of places this is a realistic goal. In America it isn't and will never be a realistic goal. I just wish more people understood this.

You have to understand the educational system has been putting a lot of emphasis on competition and grades rather than actual education

Probably due to how low America's grades are in comparison to the rest of the world. I think the USA lies at 17th in the world league which is hugely embarrasing for them. The wealthiest and most powerful country can not educate its children to high end standard. Not good.

Also, lol @ people who think gun control would do anything positive. Idiots.

Alter_Echo

If there was gun control the kid wouldn't have had a gun and would now be alive, I am surprised such simple logic is beyond you.

And if there had been gun control it is also just as possible that this families home would have been invaded by a criminal carrying an ILLEGAL weapon and they would have been slaughtered with no means to protect themselves due to their LEGAL gun being taken away by some law. Seriously, HOW is that even remotely hard to understand? Are you that inconceivably stupid?

lol house invasion... really?

You can make up as many 'What if...' stories as you like, doesn't change the facts. Kid would be alive if he didn't have the gun.

Unless your gun control includes confiscating every gun in the country - which absolutely no politician is suggesting - he would have obviously still had that one. I am surprised this simple logic is beyond you.

I find the pro gun people very strange.

The solution to americas gun problem is not more gun.
