Superman + Batman movie coming in 2015

Not excited for this. Nolan's trilogy is still too fresh in my mind, and Man of Steel was a good origins, but I'd prefer to see more of him before they start throwing other superheroes into the mix. SaintLeonidas

idk, i think it'd be a cool way for dc to add nolan's trilogy into their continuity. it'd also be a new take on batman for the big screen. i'd like to think of it like when dick grayson became batman in the comics after bruce wayne's supposed death.

but from a business standpoint, i could see them goin with jgl. 

i don't think we'll see peripheral characters like nightwing show up at least until after justice league. tho i do hope they at least tease such characters in their upcoming films, which could help build up their universe as well as be fan service

i cant get excited unless Christian Bale plays Bats again and hes already said hes done with it

Nolan's universe was never intended to be in the same universe as the other heroes. It's a reality based world that deliberately avoided using any of the mystical and sience fiction elements from the comics. This is the why the villians were so different than their comic book counter-parts. 

I'm interested to say the least, but this could definitely lead to a disaster.

It's amazing how one "meh" movie can really dampen people's enthusiasm towards seeing big ccharacters together on the big screen. Although perhaps you could argue it was to movies that made people go "meh" if you count DKR. Not to meniton the ending of Rises raises serious questions about how those two universes would collide. They also removed Bane's venom serum which gave him super human abilities. They also removed the Joker's laughing gas and the fact that he actually had white skin and green hair due to his accident, not makeup. They modified the majority of the villians in some way to make them more grounded in reality. If this universe was merged with the Man of Steel all of this would go to waste.

Totally obvious what will happen.  They'll be fighting when there is a threat appears that forces them to unite.

I think it'll go the less subtle route and just have Snyder appear and say "Cool shit is going to happen for the next two hours."

This is a different Batman. The Batman from the Dark Knight trilogy is no where near as capable as the Batman from the comics and other mediums. Batman has fought and defeated Superman several times over the years.

unless they are beating the shyt out of each other from start to end i don't want to see it.

i cannot even imagine two superheros that should hate each other more than superman and batman.

I'm both extremely excited and nervous about this announcement. I dont think the two of them should go 1on1 in a fight. That stuff barely works in the cartoons/comics (i'm talking about what happens in batman: hush (a comic book) and the dark knight returns part 2 dvd because those are the only two times i've really seen them fight) and I just dont see it working in a live action movie.

However, if it were more of a contentious relationship that results in a light tussle, i'd be for it. I know this movie probably won't be very deep because it might be tailored to be just a summer action movie that lives off brand recognition, but if they do make it more meaningful, it would be great if they focus on superman's uncompromising morality and optimisitc view  being an outsider and a god looking down on the people vs batman's grounded cynacism being one of the people fighting his way up through the drain of society.

And maybe, a little ironically, superman grew up in a small, homey village learning the values of the everyday man while batman grew up isolated as a part of the tip of the societal pyramid being one of the riches and most priveleged people on the planet.
