talking to past friends and girls

So ive got a bunch of past friends and girls I know from high school and stuff. But I hardly make any contact with them mainly because I dont want to risk sounding awkward.

Is it better to try to make contact while it being awkward than not contacting them at all? Im thinking just screw it and start contacting all my friends. Because there isnt anything to lose in me doing so.

The friends ive met in college this year respond to me though when I contact them on facebook. Its almost like im complete strangers with all the people I knew in high school. The few high school friends I do contact dont respond to me.

If it's that important to you then you should go for it, as you said there's nothing to lose. If you aren't in touch with them then who cares if they think you're awkward?

I only have 2 or 3 friends from high school that I still talk to, and Ive only been out of school for 3 years now lol. F**k high school friends dude, they dont mean anything. Cyanide4Suicid3

I disagree with this, but there is some truth to it.

After high school people change. They go from kids to adults, and for some people it really changes who they are. The friends you stay in contact with are the important ones. If neither of you has made an attempt to talk in years then maybe the friendship is a better memory than something you need to revisit.

The past always seems better than it was.

Yeah the college girls are better than the high school girls. If you are reserve and dont speak out you wont get far in life.

I made contact with former HS friends recently and I made new contacts and now have more peope to go out with. You really have nothing to lose so go for it. If they think you're awkward, fvck it. They wouldnt be worth it anyway

I haven't hung out with any of my old HS friends or acquaintances since I graduated 8 years ago. I still comment on their facebook stuff like I would if I was still around them.
