Yesterday nobody was talking about TMNT, now suddenly everyone's a fan who's childhood suddenly got raped? Cry me a river.

Like someone above me said: Krang is most likely involved, so it makes sense if they have an alien origin.

In the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Meets Archie Comics, they were aliens.

And yeah, Bay may not be directing, but he is producing. Which means he's still involved. And producers can have as much, and sometimes more, impact over a film as the director does.

you guys all realize that this changes absolutely nothing right? They are still going to be human sized turtles, they are still going to be ninja's, they are still going to act like teenagers, and they are still going to be eating pizza. they are just using the alien origin as an easier way of explaining why the turtles are around, because its sure as hell more believable than the toxic waste/mutagen story.

Not at all, I was just asking if you still represent Ninja Turtles. You don't have to watch the new stuff. I just find it funny people never cared about the turtles until now and probably only watched the original intro on youtube.

Real fans shouldn't be mad, because Ninja Turtles is a great franchise and should be getting more exposure. I'm happy to see the new series and a new movie, then nothing at all. The alien origin is nothing new, like I said before - if you're a REAL diehard fan of the Ninja Turtles.

have you ever stopped to think that maybe the backstory has been mostly unchanged but just tweaked? Like, maybe Bay calls them Aliens because they are created by krang in this version. think about it. krang made the ooze that mutated the turtles in the cartoon, so maybe thats what he is referring to by them being aliens?
