Huh? It does so make society better than the criminal himself....by giving him the death penalty you'd make the statement "We're not putting up with **** like this anymore." Also too you eliminate the possibility of the **** from ever committing anything like what he did, ever again, because if he's dead he certainly can't give anyone STD's anymore now can he? The way it is right now though, criminals just think "Well I'll be back out on the streets in a while, no worries." The time that they're in jail they're fed and have living arrangements and just learn new stuff to do once they get out. Like I asked before, what's your solution? Really I believe the sicko should be castrated with a rusty knife without local anesthetic, but those are just high hopes. Why should the sicko be allowed to live? Human life== Human life....Well this guy obviously holds no value of human life. He gave STD's to children! STD's....to...CHILDREN! He's a sorry excuse for a human being. Because really, sending him to jail isn't punishment for what he did, not even close. He'll get a bed to sleep in, food to eat, people to socialize with, etc...Now if jail were a big open roof facility with no beds just hard ground and were subject to the elements at all times, maybe it would be an effective way to sentence people like this. For doing something so entirely just sick and demented...how can you say he should be left alive? The people who say to kill him, torture him or wish whatever bad thing to happen to him are fed up with people who commit such horribe acts. But people that say he should live because "He's a human too you know?" well he didn't act very humanly in what he did now did he? What would you propose is the alternate solution to just killing the ****? Why should he or anyone else that commits such a horrible act be allowed to live?

Really, the legal system doesn't work on innocent before guilty. It's he who has power and money decides if you're innocent and guilty. You think the rich and poor have the same legal rights? Really, the nazis hurt your case, cause I am sure the jews who suffered from their hands don't take the same views as you. I'm pretty sure that if given the option, they'd gladly have the Nazis killed during their time of oppression. And on a tangent, just look at how many repeat criminals/pedophiles are out there who people like you thought we could rehabilitate and afterwards just repeat their crimes again, and again.
