[QUOTE="munu9"] Great job guys, hope you guys end up creating an even more negative stereotype for satanist :| markop2003
Who's creating stereotypes?
Some people who read this will probably develop a negative stereotype against satanist. And people who already have one will probably develop an even great aversion towards them
OBVIOUSLY we are going to develop a negative stereotype against satanist! They worship the devil and eat people!
satanists don't worship the devil or do any of the ritualistic stuff,
satanist basically means making the most of your life and not believing in god... it's basically an old term for atheist and going against the church (not murder and such but the seven deadly sins like lust)
I'm sorry to disagree with you but I don't believe that to the full extent. If Satanist's don't believe in a god nor worship anything other than themselves, how come some satanists follow this code of 'satans' laws and actually perform rituals? I'm not saying all satanists do it. I don't even know the percentage, just from this program I watched, which coincidentally, came on last night. They claimed they didn't worship Satan but they associate themselves with these things. Why? Shock Value?
most of them are assosiated with them simply because of old ideas held from people on the outside, most satanists are a type of athiest really
just found this which describes the beliefs of the biggest sect
Some of their beliefs and practices are:
They do not worship a living deity.Major emphasis is placed on the power and authority of the individual Satanist, rather than on a god or goddess.
They believe that "no redeemer liveth" - that each person is their own redeemer, fully responsible for the direction of their own life.
"Satanism respects and exalts life. Children and animals are the purest expressions of that life force, and as such are held sacred and precious..."
Hmm, I see; thanks for answering me. A lot of what I've seen makes Satanism misleading, the name, some of the actions; ideals performed, It seems, at least to me, being the same as if someone followed the Ten commandments of the Bible yet believe there is no God at least if a Satanist has this book that states, "these are Satans laws." But I get what your saying nonetheless.
