Ah I love texting, Even better when someone replies back as soon as u sent the text to em.. But the only thing I get annoyed at is the person who ain't replying to my text.
lol
Man, I try to hang out with some of my friends but the problem is, they just won't stop texting. I can't even have a decent conversation with the person because they are always texting. Better yet, I find it rude when they text at the dinner table. Man, if my kid does that, I will disown him/her. Then again, by that time, texting will be a thing in the past. Anyhow, what are your thoughts on texting and do you find it annoying like I do?Hopkins_J
I KNOW WHAT YOU'RE SAYING! I REALLY ****ING HATE THAT! I have a really good friend, and we used to be really cool, but I won't even go with him anymore because he won't put that F*ing phone down, and when my friends do that, especially if they do it nonstop and i'm there, I'll feel like they'd rather be with that person, I even just said "dude, what's with all the texting..." even some of them, they don't find it rude at all. My kids ain't having a texting plan, nuff said...
why so much complaints? its just an easy way to talk to friends i dont see the problem, i do it.Bauers-Twin
The problem is that most teens ABUSE texting
Seriously, if someone starts texting while I'm talking to them, I just leave. Obviously, I'm not that important.Vax45
I do that too, but when I explain my POV, they just throw at me "oh, so you're self-centered" :| I just stare at them blankly. For me, my friend invited me to the movies and then all he did was text, he even texted DURING the movie.

what's the point of watching a movie if you aren't watching it? :|
teens these days...tsk tsk tsk.
texting is pretty stupid in my oppinion because you should just call the personSerraph105
well texting is for quick chat about something. lik if i get a text saying theres a party tomorrow around 4 at such and such house r coming? i would text yes thats the end.
but i do think its messed up on people text so much.
[QUOTE="Bauers-Twin"]you people have no friends and are not up with the times its hard to call people when you're in the middle of somethign or if you really dont ahve that much to talk about phone conversatiosn suck and have pauses when everyone is done talking texting is easier and takes less time.Oleg_Huzwog
If that doesn't call for the lol wut pear, I don't know what does. :? You are aware that simply waiting until you have a free minute is an option, yes?
why do that when you can text them now?I heard that more text messages are sent a day than there are people on the Earth.
tman93
I easily believe that...I could never get into texting much....don't know why
Texting is a waste of time.
I'd rather call the person.
Racer_XLR
yea but unlike texting, you can't save your phone conversation

I agree.
Why have a conversation composed of several text messages (which cost me good money) when you can just call and have it all said then and done.
They may be too busy to hold a phone and listen to you. Whats more it means you can talk to several people at once. Also here in Ireland, with Meteor as a provider, the texts are free, so I don't see why not.[QUOTE="Oleg_Huzwog"][QUOTE="Bauers-Twin"]you people have no friends and are not up with the times its hard to call people when you're in the middle of somethign or if you really dont ahve that much to talk about phone conversatiosn suck and have pauses when everyone is done talking texting is easier and takes less time.Bauers-Twin

something in which ahving a phone shoved in your face would interrupt but a slick little few button presses would go unnoticed. I can assure you, it does not go unnoticed... hence the hate.

its not a big deal as long as its just for a few and you dont have your phone up in your face the whole time, talking to people on the phone especially in crowded places is a bother ui cant hear them half the time and i have to repeat myself, a text takes less time and is less of a hassle, its perfect.
Yea...american school systems aren't usually like that and they really aren't that bad, there are a lot of intelligent kids but are held back because of kids who aren't ready for the grade they're in but the "No Child Left Behind" program is around...also the problem with not seperating the more intelligent kids from the slow learners etc. from important classes like math and science and so on. Also, on topic, you are obviously exaggerating...none of my friends do that and a lot of 'em text all the time.AlphaRail
Offtopic, thats your spriting in your sig? pretty good :o

The topic isn't about texting in crowded places. It's about texting while you're in the middle of something, such as eating dinner or having a face-to-face conversation with someone else.
Don't worry, kids that always use their cell phone are 5xs more likely to get cancer. They could of known this if they watched the news but they're too busy texting.GrindingAxe
Yeah I heard about that on the news..
I never text, I don't even own a cell phone. I think cell phones are a waste of money, and texting is a waste of time.
So many people these days text each other, even my sister does all the time and shes 25.
I find it annoying and very stupid.
